Hello Cairo!

If just being the weekend wasn't a good enough reason to party, throw Halloween into the mix and the city's on fire with all sorts of kitschy events.

With all hallows eve landing on a Thursday, there's never been a better reason to party. Never failing to put on a show, Tamarai invite your alter-egos out to play at Heroes Unleashed, while O Bar unshackle your chains for a Halloween Night to remember. Dusting off the cobwebs, Cloudeleven dare you to join in their costume competitions for a terror-ific evening. Alternatively, grab your broomsticks and fly on over to All Hallow's Eve at Alchemy, where there'll be brewing up some of their most menacing cocktails, and finish off at Cairo Jazz Club's Trick or Treat after-hours party, where rock-band Screwdriver will have you partying until you're dead on your feet. Whilst Heliopolis' Amici hold their Drink or Treats event, Amici Royale pays tribute to their singed Zamalek counterpart at After Burn. Cooking up a storm, Cavallini invite British DJ Paul Thomas to their Halloween Party, whilst Opium spend the witching hour jamming to the best of r&b at their Halloween Special.

Likely to be walking around like real-life zombies on Friday, we're thankful there's not much going on - other than the second day of Gezazy's Life Festival, celebrating all things recycled.

On Saturday, Alchemy debuts its new weekly brunch, There's Something Bloody About Mary, whilst Jazz Mate host a more chilled Jam Session. Abdullah El Miniawy performs at 100Copies Music Space and the Lions of Cairo will be serenading the crowd at the German Protestant Church in Downtown. For a cosy afternoon, Balcon Lounge is screening fantasy adventure film, 'The Fall' and for the kids, Maadi's Bikya is hosting a day packed with arts and crafts.

The arts and culture scene is slowly resuming normal service, with new exhibitions running; 'Ugly Feelings' at Townhouse, 'This is a Dream Come True' at Mashrabia, 'Moving Forward' at Picasso and 'Spectral Days' at the Gypsum Gallery.

For many more ideas on what to get up to, check out the Cairo 360 events calender. Whatever you do, be sure to have a devilishly good weekend!
