the Artistic Creativity Center and the Japan Foundation Cairo Office
present screenings of two of the legendary filmmaker's works. 'Th Idiot' (1951) tells of a disturbed war veteran whose mind turns to murder and revenge when he becomes the casualty of a love triangle. 'Rashômon' (1950) follows three different strands of one story, as three men recount a murder. Though their stories are similar, key contradictions reveal much more of the story. Japanese
