And as we certainly are food lovers, we decided to try out one of the coolest breakfast shops in Maadi, Jared’s Bagels. The Maadi shack is located in Degla and offers in house seating options, a delivery service, and takeout. They have a huge selection of bagels, with all the fillings you could possibly want. You could also opt for any of their egg platters, or choose something from their selection of baked goodies.  

What is also special about Jared’s Bagels, aside from their tasty menu, is their reasonable prices, and speedy service. Our order arrived in just 10 minutes, which is proof of their excellent service. We opted for the Eggs & Cheddar Cheese Bagel (33 EGP), Mini-Bagel with Blueberry (23 EGP), and a Latte (27 EGP).

Our top pick has to be the Eggs & Cheddar Cheese Bagel, a freshly baked bagel that tasted deliciously, especially with the addition of sun-dried tomatoes in the bagel itself. While the eggs were fine in taste, the cheese was absolutely delicious, definitely the best thing about this sandwich.

The mini-bagels were also quite delicious. They come in a pack of six, and the dough contains actual pieces of blueberry. As for the coffee, the Spanish coffee beans were of very high quality, and it worked wonderfully with the rest of the meal.

In short, Jared’s Bagels is a go-to option for a quick, reasonably-priced breakfast in Maadi. They have a huge selection of bagels and pastries, each sure to grip you with tasty flavours.
