When it comes to football in Egypt, Coca Cola have always been close and are now set to support the nation’s favourite sport with a new, unique fan platform. Doing things differently, Coca Cola Egypt will be hitting the road to meet the country’s avid football fanatics with a rather cool campaign that aims to encourage Egyptians to wear the national team’s colours proudly.

Though details have yet to be announced, activations in and around Cairo will offer fans the chance to exchange any foreign football jersey for an exclusive Coca Cola Egypt shirt, completely free of charge.

With the Africa’s biggest national tournament set to take place in little over a month from now (January 14 to be exact) buzz around the Egyptian national team is reaching fever pitch, with many putting high hopes on manager Hector Cuper and what’s a potentially exciting, young Egyptian team that stand amongst the favourites to bring home the continent’s most prized trophy.

The campaign has been kicked off with a short film that has gone viral thanks to appearances form players and figures, new and old, including Ahmed ‘Mido’ Hossam and Hazem Emam, pointing out the peculiar phenomenon of fans wearing the shirts of other footballing nations ahead of their own.

Here’s your chance to change that. For more information on the locations of the activations, stay tuned to Coca Cola Egypt on Facebook and Instagram.
