Film festivals are more than just a series of movie screenings; they are more of a time to appreciate the value of cinema, and filmmaking in general. One of the most admirable qualities of film festivals is the aspect of diversity, which is conveying movies from across the globe to be seen and enjoyed by international audiences. Egyptian festivals are no exception, starting with the upcoming 12^th edition of The Panorama of the European film that will take place from the 6^th until the 16^th of November.

The festival, according to its Facebook page, is an annual event that showcases award-winning feature and documentary productions from across Europe in Cairo, which was founded in 2004. It is funded by the European Union in collaboration with European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC).
