Classical music lovers are in for a treat this April, as Soma Bay, the host of some of the biggest events across the nation, is set to serve yet another memorable night, delivered by the renowned Hauser.

If the name doesn’t ring a bell, the Croatian cello player, Stjepan Hauser, started his musical journey as part of the duo 2Cellos. Along with fellow Croatian-Slovenian cellist Luka Šulić, they created classical covers of a host of classic rock tunes by Nirvana, Coldplay, U2, and the likes. They released their successful eponymous debut album in 2011, earning a couple of Porin awards; one for Best International Album, and another for Best International Song.

Hauser embarked his solo career in 2017 after a night in Zagreb, with accompaniment from the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra. Deemed a success, the show became a YouTube hit, with tracks like Tomaso Albinoni’s Adagio recording over 40 million views. This year, Hauser’s spring tour in Europe sees various gigs around the continent, where he takes to the stage alongside a full orchestra, to play pieces from his upcoming album.

Reflecting on his tour, Hausen stated: “Throughout my life and career certain classical compositions have remained dear to my heart; compositions that have a special drama, a moving melody, and deep romanticism. I now have the opportunity to play some of these pieces with a full orchestra and share my passion for this music in the way I always imagined it.”

Hauser’s only concert in Egypt is set to take place on the 18th of April. Tickets are available now on Tickets Marche, book yours here!
