Editor’s note: We reviewed Breadfast on the 10th of March. However, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we refrained from publishing it right away, until we ensured that the delivery services are still allowed across the nation. Try as much to stay at home.

This mobile application has struck the holy grail of delivery services; hassle-free freshly baked goodies that are delivered straight to your doorstep. Breadfast made bakery and grocery shopping easier than ever by saving you time and energy, as well as giving you a lot of options to choose from – what more would one want?

The interface is quite easy. After you download the app, on the home page, you’ll find a few categories: Bakeries, Dairy & Eggs, Fruits & Vegetables, Drinks, and Other Products, which include items like rice, tuna cans, cereal, and so on. We decided to only focus on the baked goods, to test their time punctuality, the freshness of the goodies, and value for money. The Bakeries category is divided into sub-categories: Soft Bread, Feteer & Pies, Muffins, Danish, Croissant, Toast & Loafs, Baladi & Shami, and Breakfast Bundles.

The options were vast. However, we wanted to try a type of bread that is higher on the artisanal metre; we got Focaccia Bread (34LE) – the loaf of focaccia was sizable and incredibly fresh. It was wrapped in a plastic wrap that kept it well preserved. The olive oil, seasoning, and garlic flavours really came through. We also opted for Ciabatta Bread (16LE) – the loaf also came perfectly wrapped and fresh; it tasted great and kept well outside of the fridge for at least 4-5 days.

Going back to the user-friendly process, you choose your items, and at the checkout, you add your address and select the delivery date and time. The more precise option is getting to choose your delivery time exactly, or you can opt for the “4-hour time slot”, which is giving them the room to deliver anytime within a 4 hour period, and delivery is free. You can either pay by cash or credit card, and if you want to get the same order another time, you have a “repeat order” option.

All in all, the freshness, quality and prices that Breadfast offer was beyond expectations, not to mention, how easy the process is. No more early morning runs to get fresh bread in a hurry; you can get your freshly-baked goods ordered from the comfort of your home!

360 Tip
