Our main goal is to help guide you around Egypt and to make living in the land of pharaohs much easier on you. This is why we have once again compiled a mix of parties, art performances and stand up comedy events that are happening this weekend. Since we do take our job very seriously, this week we made it our mission to find events that can even entertain the kids too, while you enjoy a peaceful weekend. Pick a Sahel or a Cairo event and enjoy your days off.

Thursday

Usif Rasta at Cairo Jazz Club

Forget about your worries and move to the chill acoustic beat of Usif’s guitar. Get ready to recharge with a Sudanese reggae and jazz fusion that you won’t forget.

For reservations, send CJC a FB message between 12-8 PM.

Austin, Omar Khalifa & Omar Sherif at Cairo Jazz Club 610

Start off the weekend with a night full of dancing and good music with an incredible lineup waiting for you at CJC 610. Join this Electric Thursday as Austin, Omar Khalifa & Omar Sherif take over the decks with their mind-blowing mixes.

For reservations, send CJC 610 a FB message between 12-8 PM.

Standup Comedy Show at The Greek Campus

Some of the best comedians in the scene today are heading to the Greek Campus and we can’t wait to hear their newest jokes and puns.

Innellea at AHM Playa North Coast

There’s no time to be spent at “El Sahel El Tayeb” this season as we are starting with Innellea who will be playing his entrancing beats this Saturday at AHM Club. We know that everyone lost it when this event was announced, and that’s for a very obvious reason. You don’t want to miss this experience and this chance to listen to Innellea play his music live on stage. Also, if you are looking for a chill and fun environment AHM’s crowd is very welcoming and the vibes there are always the best.

3enaba & Diana at Palapa

This Thursday is all about Sha3by music at Palapa with upcoming star 3enaba and the gorgeous belly dancer Diana, so get ready to shake what your momma gave you.

Noha Fekry at Room Art Space Garden City

Looking forward to a Jazz night this weekend? We suggest heading to Room Garden City for some original music by the Egyptian singer songwriter Noha Fekry. Fekry will sway you with her outstanding presence and out-of-this-world talent.

Etoile Ballet Theatre at Cairo Opera House

Tell me that Edward Cullen in a tutu is not the first thing that comes to mind when you first hear the words “ballet” and “vampire”. This very intriguing poster had us thinking about twilight at first, but turns out this might actually be better than the saga. Put on a suit and tie and head to Cairo Opera House to experience this exquisite ballet performance yourself.

Sonja Moonear at The Garten

We bet you have seen people post Instagram stories from the inside of a strange looking dome in the middle of the desert and you have wondered where this could possibly be. We had the same question and we have finally found the answer. The Garten is a pop up colourful dome that brings fun parties and good music wherever it lands. This weekend the Sonja Moonear will be taking over the decks and you will certainly be entranced.

Friday

El Sakia Puppet Theatre at Hacienda White

Schools are closed and teachers are getting tanned by the beach while you have to deal with the constant nagging and the endless annoying requests of your kids. To make this summer vacation easier for you, Elsakia Puppet Theater is coming to Sahel with a day full of fun activities by the beach; which includes making their own puppets for the annual chocolate festival.

El Gamila W El Wahsh at Le Marquee

It is one thing to be stuck with the kids in Sahel, but it is a whole other level of struggle when you are all stuck together in Cairo. We still found a way to get you a weekend off without having to worry about the kids. Send them to watch this beautiful musical adaptation of Beauty and The Beast that will be performed live on stage from Thursday to Saturday.

Del Moanath Salem at Rawabet Art Space

A drama that represents all forms of oppression against women and forces you to think more about feminism. Topics like, harassment, emotional blackmail, early marriage, late marriage, infidelity, veiling, working women and other sensitive issues will be discussed through artistic performance. What may shock you is that all the tales in the performance are based on real events

Cairokee Live at Cairo Festival City Mall

If you were able to score tickets, then you are one of the lucky few. Unfortunately, tickets for this concert were sold out hours after it was announced and you sure don’t have a time machine. The good news is, you can still watch the live stream and the Instagram stories, just to avoid FOMO.

Are You Player at Room Art Space Garden City

Calling all gamer girls and boys! Get ready for a heavy hit of nostalgia with absolute bangers from your favourite games this Friday night at Room Garden City. Music from Assassin Creed, God of War, Witcher, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, The Last of us, Nier automata, Arcane and more will be played live.

Saturday

Irtigalia at Rawabet Art Space

Every show they have is unique in its own way and that’s because it is all improvised on stage with no script or planned plot. You and the rest of the audience get to decide what happens to the characters just like those interactive Netflix movies, but live on stage. From what the relationship between the characters is like to where the events are supposed to be set, this is all up to the audience to choose.

The Comedy Bunch at Room Art Space New Cairo

Coming back to the stage of Room New Cairo with a different lineup, is none other than the crowd’s favourite jokesters. The Comedy Bunch will make sure you laugh your troubles away with their relatable jokes and unique sense of humour.
