You just read the book and show up on the designated date. In her TikTok video, Toqa says you don’t even have to read the book! This month, the book was La Anam by Ihsan Abdel Quddous. The book club was held on the 25^th of July at La Maison Tre13e.

An account on TikTok and Instagram called Sisters Who Draw is calling all art girls in Cairo. The idea is to agree on a place to gather where girls can make art. It’s not a workshop or a business idea; it’s simply a safe space where girls gather up to create art and vibe. There isn’t a set date yet, but make sure to follow them to stay updated.

Alwan NGO is a non-profit organisation that seeks to cultivate artistic talents and cultural knowledge among different community groups, especially young people. They offer a wide variety of workshops twice a year. For example, crochet for beginners, photography, and leather craft. Not only that, but you can also start learning to play a musical instrument, as they offer a sustainable percussion workshop using recycled materials for the instruments. Their Instagram account provides all the necessary details to register for the workshops.

They are still in the early stages, so it’s an excellent opportunity to be part of something that’s just starting from the ground up.
