Perched high in Uptown Cairo, Èlevè feels as though it has been carved directly from the hillside. Its exterior is marked by stone-like surfaces and statues poised as if climbing, guarding, or watching over the entrance. The building itself carries an aura of myth and monument, where architecture and sculpture blend to create an atmosphere closer to a sanctuary than a restaurant.
Interior & Ambience

Inside, the transformation is immediate. The walls echo the rugged texture of natural rock, scattered with sculptural forms that transport you to another world. This raw, stone-carved backdrop contrasts beautifully with the deep burgundy of the tablecloths, chairs, and dining sets, which add richness and warmth to the space. Soft lighting glimmers across the surfaces, while a skylight draws the eye upward, opening the room to the sky and giving the whole setting a sense of depth and drama. It is intimate yet grand, indulgent yet grounding, an atmosphere that feels both romantic and otherworldly.
A Taste of the Menu

The food matches the drama of the setting. The eight-piece sushi platter (EGP 970) was presented with artistry, fresh vegetables layered beneath a crisp topping of chips. While the added crunch gave it more of a fried impression than the purely raw delicacy one might expect, the flavours were fresh, generous, and juicy, leaving a memorable finish.
The Black Angus beef tenderloin (EGP 1,500) stood out as the highlight. Cooked perfectly medium-rare, the steak was tender and rich, served alongside creamy, buttery mashed potatoes and a pepper sauce that balanced the flavours on the plate. The only distraction was a note of white pepper in the mash, but it did little to take away from the overall finesse of the dish.
Drinks Worth Lifting a Glass To

The drinks complemented the evening with equal elegance. A latte (EGP 100–150) arrived smooth and well-prepared, while the Raspberry Sparkler mocktail (EGP 300-400) offered a refreshing balance of sweetness and tang, and perfectly paired with the richness of the food.
Service & Reservations
Service at Èlevè was polished and professional, with staff attentive to detail yet never overbearing. The overall experience felt seamless and refined, matching the sophistication of the setting. Reservations can be easily made through WhatsApp or Instagram, although it is worth noting that a minimum charge of approximately EGP 2,000 may apply during peak hours.
On a final note, Èlevè is more than a dining spot; it is an immersive escape, a place where stone walls and sculpted figures transport you into another world, while burgundy touches and soft light set the stage for intimacy. With its balance of design, flavour, and service, Èlevè is quickly establishing itself as one of Uptown Cairo’s most captivating new destinations, perfect for romantic dinners and special occasions alike.
