Valentine’s Day can get a bit repetitive, as many of us scramble to think of a unique romantic plan that will top that of last year. But, despite Valentine’s Day being over, the spirit is still in the air, and for those who haven’t celebrated yet for one reason or the other, we’ve come prepared with a few creative, non-traditional activities to spend Valentine’s-ish Day.

Home Cooked Dinner

Here’s a classic idea that we feel is not done enough: cosy dinners at home! It is the perfect activity for Valentine’s Day where you get to cook with your partner and spend quite the intimate time together. Even if you want to skip cooking together, homemade dinners show effort and time, which is essentially what Valentine’s Day is all about. Don’t skimp on the ingredients and the dishes you make, and show your partner some love. Maybe try a steak or a fancy seafood dinner!

Arcade or Amusement Park

If you’re the kind of couple who like a bit of an adventure, amusement parks and arcades could be a fun idea for Valentine’s Day! Maybe the idea of an amusement park is usually more romantic than that of an arcade, where you and your partner get to go on rides together and indulge in the movie clichés of winning something for each other. Going to an arcade is another good idea if you’re into video games. You can also take each other out for a bite after, so you’d have spent a full day together!

Fancy dinner

It can’t get more traditional than this! Booking a fancy restaurant for an intimate dinner with your partner is probably one of the most common activities to do on Valentine’s Day, and for a valid reason: you can’t go wrong with a delicious meal. Maybe treat each other on separate dinners because both partners deserve some pampering!

Staycation

If you have the budget for it and want to spend a full day of pampering, head to one of the hotels. There are plenty of Valentine’s Day offers on your stay there! From fancy dinners and spa massages to chocolate desserts and flower-decorated rooms, you’re sure to give your partner a well spent Valentine’s Day.

Romantic picnic

Spending Valentine’s Day on a sunny winter’s morning is quite romantic, especially if you go on a picnic with your partner and get each other’s favourite snacks and drinks! It is one of the most intimate experiences you can have. Going on a picnic anytime between evening hours when you get to catch the sunset is the sweet spot for any picnic. Give it a go; you won’t regret it!
