“For as long as schools are closed, we’re open. Starting today, kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids,” reads a statement on Audible’s website, which is owned by Amazon. “All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone, or tablet. Explore the collection, select a title and start listening. It’s that easy.”

After the Egyptian Prime Minister announced yesterday that schools and universities were suspended for an extra two weeks, youngsters and their parents have been looking for alternatives to keep their education up to par. As classes get transferred to online methods, it comes as a relief that a range of audiobooks are now available free of charge for children to listen to.

Winnie-the-Pooh, Jane Eyre, Grimm’s Fairy Stories, along with Spanish, German, and French books are available on Audible’s directory.
