A mixture of cultures, tones, sounds, and arts, that’s the beauty of Ghalia Benali. Her fans justifiably hold her in the highest of regards, and through her incredible host of talents, she has quickly became internationally renowned.

Ambassador of Arabic Songs, as they call her, Ghalia is a Tunisian-Belgian artist that has traveled the world with her voice. Her own style allows her to sing vintage Arabic melodies in quite a unique tone. The different cultures she’s experienced throughout her life help her create something that caters to several cultural backgrounds, whilst maintaining her uniqueness as an artist and human.

She started her singing career in 1996, with a musical endeavor across Europe. Her international fame and popularity is not only attributed to her singing voice, but is also attributed to her talents as a dancer, musician, actress, sculptor, and writer.

You have three opportunities can catch her in Cairo. She’ll be performing at Cairo Jazz Club this Thursday night, and will hit Cairo Opera House next Monday. But if you’re looking for something a bit different, Al Kotobgeya will be hosting a book signing event next Sunday for Benali’s book Romeo and Leila.
