Cairo Citadel’s Annual Music Festival Kicks Off August 25

The Cairo Opera House has finally announced the schedule for the 31st edition of its annual Saladin Citadel music festival. Between August 25th and September 7th, the Cairo Citadel will light up with song and festivities organised by the Cairo Opera House in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
With 11 performances scheduled throughout the festival, artists are set to include local and regional stars, including Wust El Balad, Lena Chamamyan, and Medhat Saleh, as well as orchestral and choir performances.

The festival will open with a show by Syrian singer Faia Younan on August 25th, and close with a performance by Egyptian icon Omar Khairat on September 7th. Here is the full schedule:
