After only a month since its release, El Hareefa, a soccer drama directed by Raouf El Sayed and starring Nour El Nabawy in his inaugural lead role, has soared at the Egyptian box office, accumulating an impressive EGP 37 million since January 4th. The film’s charm lies in its charismatic cast, dynamic dialogue, and themes of ambition and camaraderie, earning widespread acclaim.

The film follows Maged, a football player who collides with his friends, who are professional footballers from two classes: the upper class he once belonged to and the working class he has become part of due to unforeseen circumstances. Maged goes through a life-altering experience with his new team, El Hareefa, but will he pull through and accomplish his dream of playing football professionally?

In this cinematic venture, Nour El Nabawy shares the screen with former footballer Ahmed Hossam Mido, rising stars Nour Ehab, Ahmed Ghozzi, and Youssef Omar, alongside Mahraganat singer Kozbara, Khaled Zahabi, and Selim El Turk. Known for TV triumphs like Rageen Ya Hawa and Public Transport, El Nabawy’s diverse roles have earned him widespread acclaim. Aside from El Hareefa, El Nabawy’s most recent work includes the Ramadan 2023 drama El Aghar and a guest appearance in the epic military drama El Kateeba 101

Nabawy has also been honoured with the role of ambassador for the Shabab Balad  Initiative (The Country’s Youths) by UNICEF, mirroring the International Generation Unlimited Initiative introduced by the UN in the region last year.

In the highly anticipated series Embratoreyet Meem, Nour joins forces with iconic actors Khaled El Nabawy and Hala Shiha, bringing to life a captivating tale penned by Mohammed Suleiman Abdul-Malik and directed by Mohamed Salama.
