What a beautiful day for fans of strong and authentic Arabic voices, and especially fans of the amazing Lebanese songstress, Hiba Tawaji. Rejoice Tawajians, for her delightful vocal cords will resonate in Cairo this month at Taj City, for her very first concert in Egypt.

The luxurious compound of Taj City, in Heliopolis, will host Hiba Tawaji on the 30th of April for a musical night dedicated to all those who are passionate about authentic Arabic music. Musical director, Oussama Rahbani, will be in charge of the night, and will be accompanied by Sphinx Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dr. Hani Hassan. Await a special surprise from our favourite Lebanese artist as she will perform her first ever song, Sallem Ala Masr, in the Egyptian dialect (lyrics by Nader Abdullah, and music by Oussama Rahbani).

Hiba Tawaji has taken the Arab world by storm with her strong and passionate voice, not to mention the brilliant music of Oussama Rahbani. Born in Beirut to a Lebanese father and a Palestinian mother, she was always passionate about music and singing, but was a bit inhibited by her family. In the early 2000s, Hiba blossomed and took a number of vocal lessons, including one in New York with the reputable Emmy Award Winner, Gwen Conley.

Concerts, musicals, and albums brought her immense fame and popularity in the Arab world, but her ability to sing in English and French placed her front and centre on the stage of international music. In fact, she participated in the fourth season of The Voice in France, and wowed the audience and judges alike with her rendition of Les Moulins de Mon Cœur, which took her on a path to the semi-finals.
