Four of Marriott International’s General Managers leading the biggest and most magnificent properties in Cairo, namely The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino, Marriott Mena House Cairo, and St. Regis Cairo, have joined forces in collaboration with the Egyptian Tourism Authority and Emeco Travel Egypt, to take Egypt’s incredible civilisation over to France for an exclusive event. Thanks to the incredible weight it holds in the tourism industry, Marriott International was honoured to co-host such a vital event.

At the grand event, attendees were taken on a tour through Ancient Egyptian history, including the Abu Simbel Temple, through virtual reality. This event was held to honour the restoration of the Ramses II mummy, which was salvaged in 1976 in France following severe damage from being exposed to fresh air.

Numerous MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) agencies, as well as various French media representatives, were in attendance at the event, which included private visits and talks hosted by Egyptologists, as well as a cocktail dinner with cultural exchanges. This event was extraordinary, as it highlighted the immortality of these three-thousand-year-old treasures and the vital importance of Egyptian patrimony in the civilisations of old on a global scale. Marriott’s General Managers proudly represented their renowned company and presented Cairo as a historic and vibrant destination to attendees.
