Heads up to all art heads out there: the artist, Mostafa Rahma, is preparing for his newest exhibition/gallery. The exhibition will be held at Picasso Art Gallery on April 1st at 7 pm, and will be called “The Lady’s Audience” (“The Lady” refers to a title given to the famed Egyptian songstress Om Kalthoum).

Mostafa Rahma was born in 1952 in El-Mansoura. Rahma is internationally renowned, and has received a number of international awards such as one from Prince Talal Bin Faisal in 1992, one from the Cultural Sector Award in Sharjah in 1994, the Award of the Cultural Society of Abu Dhabi in 1996, and much more.

The artist, Samir Foad, had commented on the exhibition’s theme, and highlighted the joy he personally experiences whilst listening to the songs of Om Kalthoum. Foad has also managed to create visuals that mirror the life, joy, and the effect that Kalthoum’s songs and melodies have on listeners.

So, if you’re in the mood for a unique art experience, head over to Picasso Art Gallery in Zamalek, and take in the beauty of Mostafa Rahma’s paintings.
