Remember the iconic pottery scene in Ghost (1990)? The one with Demi Moore cradling clay on the wheel, and the late Patrick Swayze sweeping her away, with Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers blasting in the background? We remember. But, unlike Moore, the artists showcasing their latest pottery creations at Foustat Traditional Crafts Center did not let any distractions startle their pursuit for art.

Coming from different districts across Egypt, a diverse selection of artists kicked off the pottery exhibition on the 1st of February. It will run until the 3rd of February, and is open between 11.00 AM and 6.00 PM. Expect works from Qena, Fayoum, Abdeen, and many more locations gathered under one roof. The exhibition will also include workshops for children that introduces the heritage and history of pottery, along with scientific and artistic seminars that will discuss everything related to the ancient craft.
