From Waste To Good Taste is here with various workshops, multiple exhibitions, plenty of food vendors, and exceptional live performances. This “all-things sustainable” event will include collaborations between our favourite brands and activists that will pave the way for the attendees to lead a more sustainable lifestyle while maintaining creativity and boasting Shyaka Mostadama.

The event will take place over three days and two locations, starting on the 19th and ending on the 21st of April. With Al Ismeilia on board as a venue partner, the two locations are The Factory and The Warehouse in the heart of Downtown Cairo. Entry is free of charge, but the first day of the event is limited to invitations only.

The event’s lineup of workshops is chosen to cater to artists and sustainability enthusiasts. Unleashing creativity while promoting environmental consciousness, some of the workshops that will capture the eyes of eco-conscious advocates include “Rubber Into Accessories” on the 20th and 21st, led by Almah and Mobikya, “Plastic Upcycling” with Upfuse across all three days of the event, and “From Leather Waste To Good Taste” with Bulga on the 19th and 20th. Alongside the recycling-based workshops, “From Waste To Good Taste” has dedicated a number of workshops for creatives to support local art and talent, including “Painting on Garments” on the 19th, “Introduction to Hand Embroidery” with Saqhoute across all three days of the event, and a “Journaling Collage” workshop with Almah & Phlog.
