That’s why Maadi is the perfect choice, bringing together some of the best bakeries in Cairo with the loveliest weather and natural scenery. So, this season, get out early and enjoy any of these five bakeries and patisseries.
Noisette Bakehouse

An artisanal bakery situated close to Thakanat Maadi’s metro station, Noisette Bakehouse offers a wide selection of freshly baked goods, from French pastries to local classics. The bakery is known for its signature Basque Burnt Cheesecake, as well as its delicious, crunchy cruffins, eclairs, and millefeuilles.
They also offer a diverse breakfast menu and numerous options for hot or cold coffee. The place is pet-friendly with lovely indoor and outdoor settings, making it an excellent spot to enjoy baked goods in the fresh air this winter. The prices are moderate for baked goods and pastries, but considered somewhat expensive for basic beverages.
204. Bakery & Coffeehouse

Located in Degla, 204. Bakery & Coffeehouse serves freshly baked, hearty breakfasts, and rich coffees daily. The bakery stands out for its top-rated sourdough and Chicken Focaccia Sandwich, as well as its fluffy croissants, cakes, and tarts. The place has a relaxing outdoor setting and is pet-friendly. They are considered pricey, but their consistently high quality and satisfying portions may justify the price.
Jared’s Bagels

Jared’s Bagels is the perfect haven in Degla for bagel lovers. With their wide variety of fluffy, fresh bagel sandwiches, fresh salad tubs, and other breakfast options, Jared’s serves nourishing softness much needed this winter. Their menu also features Belgian waffles, burgers, and many other sweet or savoury items, balancing comfort food and healthy alternatives.
The place is a bit small with indoor and outdoor settings, and their prices are pretty low. They also only open from 6 am to 6 pm, making them a great stop for breakfast and brunch.
Sui Bakery

From Japanese milk bread to pain au chocolat, Sui Bakery in Degla has all the fluffy or crispy baked goods. The bakery offers a delicious, abundant selection of fresh-baked pastries and crackers with creative, well-proportioned recipes, along with various sandwiches, salads, and beverages to pair and complete your meal.
While the entire menu is very tempting, we highly recommend trying the Lemon & Blueberry Millefeuille, cruffins, and the Lemon Meringue Éclair. Sui Bakery has a cosy indoor setting that makes it great for remote working, a wholesome breakfast, or an evening dessert. Their pricing is moderate to expensive, but relatively excellent value for money.
Scrumptious Bakes
A lovely indoor spot in Degla for all-day fresh baked goods and sweets, Scrumptious Bakes offers a massive selection of items and stands out for its boxes and trays, including mini-pizzas, doughnuts, hot-dog rolls, and trimasu.
Some must-tries include their Salami Focaccia, which is incredible for cheese lovers, and their Pretzel Loaded Burger, which makes an excellent brunch option. They also serve a variety of coffee and other beverages. The place is quite cosy for breakfast, brunch, or evening cravings, and very affordable.
