A Taste of Paris at Four Seasons First Residence’s La Gourmandise

The melodies of the piano play in the background every time we picture the marvelousness of Paris. We can smell the fresh croissant, and faintly hear the chit-chat of elegant Parisians that create a beautiful symphony along the piano. The city of love can effortlessly fill our spirits with joy and our bellies with the utmost comfort.

Travel restrictions have halted our daydreaming, but Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence’s La Gourmandise restaurant has come to the rescue with a new menu filled with delicious goodness straight from the heart of France. A colourful array of dishes from the French cuisine is crafted and served by Chef Ahmed El Sayed, along with Executive Chef, Erwan Laurenceau, who was inspired by his French home town, Soings-En-Sologne.

Apart from the delicious soups (signature onion and tomato) that will warm you up in this chilly weather, you can dig into a range of seafood appetisers and fresh salads. New additions include flatbread (available with goat cheese, anchovies, tuna, and creamed beef), along with croque croissants, Parisienne gnocchi, chicken fricassee, salmon pave, beef tournedos, mullet a la Colbert and sea bass.

Such variety in the new menu will introduce you to a world of flavours as you step into the main dishes (the sea bream à la vierge is a must-try), sandwiches, pasta, and wrap it up with syrupy-sweet desserts, including your favourite crêpes. Not only that, you don’t have to go home empty-handed because La Gourmandise has an array of Parisian pastries, macarons, and cakes on display. Bon Appétit!

La Gourmandise is open every day from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. For reservations, call +2 02 3567 2090. You can take a look at the full menu here.
