Never ones to miss out on a celebration, the folk at the InterContinental Semiramis have some special events planned, starting on Christmas Eve at a certain award-winning Italian eatery…

Pane Vino

The Italian restaurant is set to welcome Cairo’s coolest crooner, Ahmed Harfoush, for a special Dinner and Dance evening that will see the travelled jazz performer provide the musical backdrop for a multi-course masterclass of fine dining (500LE per person all inclusive).

On NYE, meanwhile, even more lavish dining awaits (900LE per person all inclusive), but with an entertainment program that includes the likes of duo, Sara & Khalid, a belly-dance performance and a DJ. Nice.

Sabaya

As one of the best Lebanese restaurants in the city, Sabaya as adding a Levantine twist to the festive season. Chef Bazarranges will be leading things in the kitchen on Christmas Eve and Day, while NYE will see more Oriental fun with a night of music and classic Lebanese mezzas.

Birdcage

For a Thai spin on proceedings, meanwhile, look no further than Birdcage – another award-winner. The brilliant Chef Narong is on duty on Christmas Day and Eve, while NYE will see the acclaimed chef whip up a special set menu (650LE per person all inclusive).

The Grill

Christmas Eve is a big day for The Grill, where the restaurant is set to host a spectacular ‘Noël sur le Nile’ five-course gala dinner (650LE per person all inclusive) with live piano and flute music set to round off the biggest festive event at the Semiramis. But it’s getting even bigger with another gala dinner (980LE per person all inclusive) with some top-secret live entertainment planned.

Night & Day

There’s more fun to be had on Christmas Day, meanwhile, over at Night & Day. Following the success of the restaurant’s weekly Friday Brunch, the kitchen is cooking up something special for what’s shaping up to be a spectacular Christmas Day buffet (380LE per person all inclusive, or 500LE with unlimited alcohol).

Café Corniche

The little ones, meanwhile, will get a kick out of Café Conriche’s on Christmas Day, where they can meet Santa and maybe even convince their parents to buy some yummy festive goodies – think Yule logs, gingerbread cookies and more.
