Ever since its opening in 2015, The Courtyard in Maadi has been a hotspot of dining and socializing, not just for the leafy suburb’s residents only, but to many Cairenes across the city. It’s no surprise though, because in addition to the host of restaurants and cafés that cater to every taste, The Courtyard also has a special kids area and a gym for all the sports fanatics out there; there’s simply something for everyone.

Built to create great memories, The Courtyard never misses a chance to add a touch of festivity to its setting. After its massive Halloween celebration, The Courtyard returns with the Al Moulid Festival, an all-day extravaganza which will host a variety of Egyptian traditional games that start from, tannoura shows, in addition to a performance by Sufi chanters, Al Hadra.

Taking place on the Friday 1st December between 3PM and 11PM, Al Moulid Festival is set to revive the soul of the Egyptian Moulid with many other traditional activities, including a clown show and henna drawing, as well as the scattered traditional street eats vendors of Hummus El Sham, Dorra Mashwy, sweet potato and liquorice. In addition, there will be several NGOs present, setting up booths, where attendees can find out more and even get involved in some goodwill and charity.

And to make sure that everyone leaves Al Moulid Festival with a smile on their faces, various giveaways are awaiting the guests, among other surprises!
