We have a lot to thank Emaar Misr for; firstly, for giving the residents of Sheikh Zayed its new safe haven, Cairo Gate, and secondly, an extra special concert by Amr Diab. Cairo Gate is a boutique development that spans over an area of 133 feddans and hosts a variety of villas, residential units, offices, and commercial spaces, along with a hotel for visitors or room service enthusiasts.

Cairo Gate’s first phase launched in March, and its second phase was celebrated over the weekend with a massive party featuring Amr Diab centre stage, along with a slew of celebrities in attendance. Emaar Properties’ representative, Mr Mohammed Alabbar, was also present during the event, as well as the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr Khaled El-Enany.

“Despite the harsh circumstances faced by the global economy during the past months, Emaar Misr, as an institution, has a solid management basis and it always sets up scenarios for various risks along with plans on how to tackle them”, said Mr Alabbar in his speech at the start of the launch event.

“It dealt with flexibility and professionalism with the circumstances imposed by Covid-19, and we managed in Emaar Misr, through the government’s constructive cooperation, our work team, and partners, to continue accomplishing our goals amidst the hardest of circumstances, and this is evidenced by the successful launch of the first phase of Cairo Gate and the launch of the second phase today”.

Cairo Gate is the first project in West Cairo by Emaar Misr and is close to the Grand Egyptian Museum, set to open its gates next year, and the Great Pyramids of Giza. If Amr Diab graced the stage for the second phase, we can only hope that the next celebration will be just as exciting!
