Autumn Activities to Do in Cairo!

The weather is changing, and with it, so do our moods and activities! We’ve loved the summer for all those trips to the North Coast and Sinai, as well as the pools and summer concerts. As we say goodbye to it, we’re considering the other activities that fall brings with it instead. After all, all seasons are fun in Cairo, with the endless activities it offers us!

Go Camping

The problem with Egypt’s desert nature is that outside of the big cities, in more rural areas, it’s always either unbearably hot or cold. So if you’re sensitive to both environments, autumn is the perfect time to go camping around Cairo. Whether in Wadi El-Hitan to watch the clear sky and wonder at the ancient whale bone fossils, Wadi Degla where you can explore the wildlife, or Farafra Oasis and the wondrous white desert, all make perfect camping spots for autumn!

Have A Picnic In One of Cairo’s Parks

The magnificent parks of Cairo aren’t only for Spring! Some might say autumn is even lovelier for picnics, with the trees shedding their leaves and the breeze fanning you—it certainly makes an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. In Cairo, you won’t run out of options for a picnic, with many parks like Al-Azhar, Al-Horreya, Al-Orman, and Al-Andalos around!

Hyde Out Theatre

What’s nicer than Hollywood classics that will have us nostalgic during autumn?! The answer is Hollywood classics in open-air theatre! Hyde Out is an excellent choice in Cairo generally, but with the air getting a little chilly and the nostalgia that comes with the season, it’s a perfect outing!

Have An Apple Pie In Lokali

Now, to the most crucial aspect of autumn: Apples and apple pies! Consider a spread with all things apples, though if you don’t think making apple-based recipes at home isn’t exactly an autumn activity, we won’t fault you. Hanging out with friends in the Egyptianised American restaurant, Lokali, while having a slice of their incredible apple pie, definitely is!
