Now that the week is taking its last breaths, it’s high time you explored the many options that Cairo is offering for the weekend. While rumour has it that it’s not going to be a rainy weekend, the weather is not expected to be warm either; no matter where you go, or what you do, remember to grab a jacket. Here’s the deal:

On Thursday, local band Hawas takes to El SawyCulturewheel’s stage for a round of world music numbers as Do’souka hit ROOM Art Space’s stage for a night of underground music, while Retro sing a mash of contemporary and classic tunes at Osiris. Speaking of classics, Mondedalida cover various hits by Dalida at Alrab3.

Elsewhere, DJ A.K heads to The Tap Maadi’s decks for a hip-hop and R&B night called Back to the Future, while The One Four Five take to the stage at Cairo Jazz Club for a round of blues numbers before The Cairo Big Band Societytake over to jazz things up.

DJ Lyon Avakian takes to decks at The Tap East to serve some pop hits, the same genre that DJ Armen V delivers, but at The Tap West. Celebrating its first anniversary, Cairo Jazz Club 610 welcomes German DJ Thyladomid, and Dutch DJ Karmon to take to decks for a round of electronic tunes, before local DJ Ashmawy plays some deep/tech house tunes.

Friday brings a host of bazaars that are taking place across the city, including San Valentino Bazaar at Tivoli Dome Heliopolis, Spread the Love at Downtown Katameya, and The Valentine’s Fair 2019 at The Swiss Club Cairo.

The day also sees events like the 6th edition of local fiction convention EgyCon taking place at The Greek Campus, while Maadi’sDegla Campus gathers artworks by a group of up-and-coming artists in an exhibition called Intrinsic. Alternatively, New Cairo’s Dusit Thani Lake View Cairo hosts the 5th round of Cairo Wedding Festival, which gathers some of the biggest bridal brands in the market under one roof.

As for music events, Jordanian artist Bishr celebrates the launch of his latest album, El Zenbeqat El Soud, at ROOM Art Space, Omar Khairat plays various original pieces at Egypt’s Air Force House, while starlet Sherry Mamdouh covers hits by Coldplay, Amy Winehouse, and Sinatra at Bedayat.

Elsewhere, Mohamed Fouad sings various all-time favourites at Cairo Jazz Club 610 before DJ RamyDJunkie takes over;DJ Feedo, and DJ Doggy Dog spin some hip-hop and R&B at The Tap West, while DJ Nakhla plays some funk and disco tunes at The Tap Maadi, and Mohsen Kamel takes over at The Tap East for a house night.

As for Saturday, Nouran Aboutaleb and Samer George take to ROOM Art Space’s stage for a round Arabic jazz tunes, Asyad El Zar play some folk tunes at El Dammah Theater, andMalaz play some Arabic rock tunes at El SawyCulturewheel, whileFayaYounan takes to the stage at The Marquee. 

Elsewhere, DJ Kashouty plays some pop hits at The Tap East, the same genre that DJ Teddy plays at The Tap West, and DJ Tata takes to the decks at The Tap Maadi, while Islam Chipsy, and Sadat are in for an electro-shaabi night at Cairo Jazz Club.
