You’d better be ready to party Cairo, we have a very busy line-up for you this weekend with parties, shows and Christmas events.

Thursday night brings you a wealth of
parties! Head over to Katameya heights for Christmas in Vegas, a steaming party
featuring DJs Samba and Fahmy. Or you can head to Arabella instead, where DJ Wendell Kos will play at the Christmas party Jingle
Bombs
.

Prefer a live concert? Head to the
Cairo Jazz Club, where local favourites Screwdriver will bring you a medley of rock
classics this Thursday in celebration of their ten-year anniversary. If you prefer a cultural night out, head to the
Cairo Opera House for the Christmas-classic ballet the Nutcracker, which is sure to be
fun for kids and adults alike.

When Christmas Eve rolls around on Friday, you can enjoy a festive day at the Four Seasons First Residence, which includes a buffet and family-friendly activities.
Christmas isn’t the only celebration today; join in at the Sawy Culturewheel for a show commemorating the fifth anniversary of local favourites
Eskenderella.

Friday night means party night, and what a
better way to celebrate Christmas Eve than with the annual After-Eight Eve
party
? If you’ve had your fill of Christmas cheer and want a non-themed
party, head to the Cairo Jazz Club for the last night of electro-house this year, featuring DJ
Amir Sharara
and several guest acts including the Digital Monkeys, Mayan Fawaz and vocalist Hala Al Boghdadi.

You can also opt for a completely Egyptian
experience instead, with a folkloric night of Simsimeya and Damma music straight
from the Port of Said at the Tanboura Hall in Downtown Cairo.

Saturday is Christmas Day; so you should definitely be eating some turkey. Check out our Christmas
dining guide
to see all your viable options on where to enjoy some fine
traditional cuisine or our Christmas turkey guide if you want to cook your own.

Saturday is also one of the last days to catch the
unique exhibition Cairo Documenta at the Viennoise Hotel. It’s a completely independent exhibition brought
to you by a group of talented young artists– this is not to be missed.

‘Monster’ by Hassan Hassan is also an
impressive collection of what can be considered as ‘an oriental take on pop art,’ so
make sure to check out this young artist’s impressive work at Studio 14 in Zamalek.

Celebrate Christmas night at Amici with
some good ol’ Christmas classics performed by Shady Noor and a warm cocktail –
a performance by DJ Migo promise a livelier night later in the evening.

If you’re feeling charitable, head to the
Cairo Jazz Club for their Sleigh Bells night, a festive
Christmas evening with a live performance by the Riff Band. Go splurge some cash on their special Christmas menu; as
all the proceeds will be going to help out the SOS Children’s Village
organisation.

Have an awesome weekend Cairo and Merry Christmas!
