Because people want to plan their weekend, there’s been a lot of debate recently about whether or not next Sunday is a holiday. Well, have no fear; in either case, we have your few days off planned right here, and it’s enough to compress three days of fun into a weekend. Check out the upcoming events:

Thursday begins with a special treat for all the art lovers out there with the “Masterpieces XVIII” Exhibition at Zamalek Art Gallery. If you hungry, head to 8 Restaurant’s Chinese Feast at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza. We have a special treat for history fans at the AUC with “Princess Fawzia: The Duality of Egyptian Womanhood Through Western and Egyptian Eyes” Exhibition. There’s also the Arabic theatrical adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Falaki Theatre.

There is the renowned Egyptian Mawlawiyah performance at El Sawy Culturewheel, followed by The Sinatras at ROOM Art Space Garden City. At 24K Lounge, the night commences with DJs Tamer Fouda/Madkour/Bass Boss/Tommy, and with DJ Mahmoud setting the dance floor sizzling at OPIA Cairo.

Friday starts with the “Summer Edition” Exhibition at Art Corner Gallery, right before a memorable evening packed with wall-to-wall fun. It starts with a couple of laughs from Hysteria yaLoug at El Sawy Culturewheel, some music at the 28th Citadel Music Festival at Saladin Citadel, as well as a “Dine & Jazz” night at ROOM Art Space New Cairo.

Saturday concludes the weekend with an African Bazaar at AfriCairo, and the first Glocal Show for a stand-up comedy day at NWT Creative Space later on in the afternoon.

As we fast-forward to the evening segment, you can watch the Syrian chanting band, Abo Sh’er Brothers at El Sawy Culturewheel, and eclectic musical band, Sahab, at ROOM  Art Space Garden City. Later, we have a fun Jam Night at The Tap Maadi, Saturday L’Oriental, featuring Nour Project at Cairo Jazz Club, and a jazz-filled night with Spade of Hearts at The Tap West.
