Take advantage of these last summer days and soak up some rays at a pool or waterpark!  Relax by the water and let the kids play at any one of these must-know locations. We’ve selected a few of the best spots around Cairo that offer day-use of pools and facilities for when you need to cool off without travelling too far or breaking the bank!

 

Aqua Park (Heliopolis)

If you’re searching for a fun spot for the whole family, you’ll find Aqua Park near Heliopolis. Open from 10 am to 5 pm, the park has waterslides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and a pool reserved for women’s use only. Tickets, including lunch, cost 230 LE for adults and 210 LE for children. With chalets available for day-use and food on-site, this is a must-try before the seasons change!

Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino (Zamalek)

Based in Zamalek? The Marriott swimming pool may be your best bet. On weekdays (Sunday to Wednesday) day-access to the pool and health club is 750LE for adults and 400LE for children. Weekends are slightly more expensive when the prices become 850LE and 450LE. This access lasts from 8 am to sunset. If you want some privacy to rest in between activities, why not rent a room? You can rent a deluxe room for two adults at 1580 LE (or the equivalent of $100) with an additional 300LE for each child under 12 years old. This option runs Saturday through Wednesday with access from 10 am to 6 pm.

On the west banks of the Nile in Giza, the Royal Club Mohamed-Aly has a luxurious swimming pool surrounded by date trees and gardens. The club offers day passes (10 am to 6 pm) for 400 LE per person, including lunch. It’s a steal of a deal!

Villa Belle Epoque (Maadi)

If you need a staycation in Maadi, Villa Belle Epoque offers a jungle escape amidst the craziness of the city. They offer rooms for day use (9 am to 5 pm), which includes access to the pool and hotel facilities.
