Marin Leuthard, a cooking enthusiast from Zug, Switzerland, embarks on a new adventure as Executive Chef at Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh. His story resonates with a profound passion for the culinary arts ignited by the flavours and traditions of his grandmother’s kitchen, where his love for cooking began, propelling him towards a dazzling career spanning across continents and prestigious establishments.

Leuthard’s voyage in the culinary world began at the young age of 15 when he ventured into a local dining venue, eager to refine his culinary prowess. He has worked in luxury hotels and resorts in places like Hong Kong, Macau, Incheon, and Delhi. Now, he brings his talent to the shores of the Red Sea in Egypt.

In 2023, Marin began a new chapter as the Four Seasons executive chef, overseeing 12 restaurants and bars along the Red Sea. Additionally, he manages banquets across a vast and impressive 5,000 square metres, promising guests a delightful culinary experience in the lap of luxury. Working closely with each restaurant’s Chef de Cuisine ensures a harmonious blend of authentic delights and contemporary culinary trends. This meticulous curation caters to the Resort’s diverse dining landscape, ranging from the Mediterranean seafood at Bullona to the tantalising street food delights at Yatai and the traditional Lebanese fare at Zitouni.

Leuthard’s leadership is distinguished by his hands-on approach and an unwavering dedication to nurturing his team’s talents. With a team of over 110 chefs under his guidance, he champions the ethos of teamwork, recognising its important role in crafting culinary excellence. “My objective is to foster an environment where my team thrives, crafting their unique culinary signatures,” says Leuthard.
