Egyptair has announced that travelling will be suspended starting from the 19th of March, which means that there are only a few days left before the country will be on partial lockdown. In our search for good news, a Facebook post by Heba Soliman recounting her story with the airline grabbed our attention.

She had allegedly travelled to Switzerland, Austria, and Portugal, but did not face any questioning in airports regarding the recent Coronavirus outbreak. However, when she boarded a flight from Geneva, she was given a paper that asks her a few crucial questions including “Have you felt any symptoms of illness?” and was provided with a hotline to call in case she had felt sick at any point.

When she arrived at the airport, she was greeted with officials measuring her temperature, cleaning the floors and walls, along with the baggage carousel.  “I am overwhelmed by how professionally Egypt is [dealing with the Coronavirus] and I am telling people who share invalid information without checking the sources is hurting our country!” reads her post.

We urge people to share the positive side of Egypt’s reaction to the disease.
