With the growing fear of the Coronavirus pandemic, Egypt is making efforts towards restricting its swift spread. During a press conference, Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, announced that all flights from Egyptian airports will be suspended from the 19th to the 31st of March. Also, all hotels will undergo a disinfection and sterilisation process, in order to restrict the transmission of the disease.
According to Egypt Today, Madbouly said that tourism and aviation sectors’ losses could amount to 2.25LE billion; however, Egypt’s health is what is valued most. Recently, schools and universities, along with numerous restaurants and bars, have suspended their services for the next two weeks. We urge everyone to stay safe and take all necessary measures in order to remain protected.
