On May 15, 2024, the hotel’s vibrant L’Uliveto restaurant hosted the stand-out “Food from People” event, where three culinary masters came together in a harmonious dining experience. Chef Maksut Aşkar, Chef Wessam Masoud, and Chef Mohamed ElSherif combined their expertise to curate a world-class dining experience.

Aiming to introduce international culinary experts and enthusiasts to rich Egyptian flavours and ingredients, the “Food from People” event at L’Uliveto exuded the experience of an Egyptian spice bazaar. With intricately designed décor that emulated an authentic sensory experience, “Food from People” was a celebration of our local cuisine. The lively atmosphere made the event inspiring for both professionals and guests.

Chef Maksut Aşkar, the illustrious Michelin-starred Turkish chef, Chef Wessam Masoud, the owner of “The Food Lab,” and Chef Mohamed ElSherif, the visionary Executive Chef at Fairmont Nile City, curated a culinary experience going beyond the boundaries of flavour and imagination, each dish evoking wonder with local flavours and exceptional culinary technique.
