Having shared history with numerous countries across the Mediterranean, Alexandria has been exposed to many cultures, including Italy’s. Since gastronomy is an inherent aspect of a nation’s identity, it is only natural to trace Italian culinary influences in a cosmopolitan city like Alexandria.

Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano houses Stefano’s, one of the city’s renowned culinary outlets that celebrate the Italian cuisine, delivered by Executive Sous Chef, Giuseppe Pucciarelli, and his skilled team.

The uncanny resemblance between the city and his hometown, Salerno, in the Campania Region, made him feel at home:

“Alexandria reminds me so much of my home city of Salerno in the Campania region, with so many similarities. The Mediterranean spirit here is everywhere, with a strong cultural background and fresh seafood to make Italian dishes such as octopus and squid salad, and the famous spaghetti clams.”

Pucciarelli’s passion for serving delights that carry the essence of the Italian spirit shows in every item on the menu. However, the chef is to take it up yet another notch with a round of special nights, where authentic Italian tastes are served amid a glamorous setting that brings Alexandria’s good ol’ days back.

Starting from the 6th of November, Stefano’s hosts a night called Pasta-N-Pizza Mania every Wednesday; a 3-course dinner, including an appetiser, a main course of homemade pasta or pizza, in addition to a dessert. At the price of 333LE++ per person, the night also brings an aperitif trolley that features a range of classic Italian liqueurs.

Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano’s Italian restaurant is also hosting a week that’s made especially for all the cheese lovers out there, the Italian Cheese Fondue Week. From Monday, the 25th, until the Saturday, the 30thof November, Stefano’s serves a sharable cheese fondue dish as a main course, which can be savoured with your choice of any of the Italian wines that will be available during this week.

When December arrives, starting from the 7th of December to be precise, every Saturday Stefano’s hosts Saturday Drunch –yes, it’s drunch not brunch- which boasts two central buffet stations, one for appetisers, and another for desserts, in addition to a round of main-course choices from the open kitchen. At the price of 444LE++ per person, Saturday Drunch comes with an offer, in which you can buy two Italian cocktails for the price of one. The Italian brunch that gathers some of the cuisine’s famous classics will also see traditional Italian music playing to complement the ambience.

Now that we’ve mentioned December, the restaurant celebrates Christmas Eve with a special traditional dinner on Tuesday the 24th, with a four-course set menu, an array of classic Italian wines, as well as Italian Christmas songs.
