Once Halloween and El Mouled are over, we all give in to that special joyful feeling that comes around Christmas time, although we’re still not there yet. Here are five bazaars that are taking place during this month, where you can get your hands on the perfect gift:
- Early-Christmas Bazaars:
Maadi’s Community Services Association hosts its annual Christmas Bazaar this Thursday (21st of November), gathering a host of handmade products, in addition to a selection of food booths that cater to all tastes. The Bazaar is held at the Community Services Association’s premises, from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM.
Maadi’s The Field Community Club hosts an early Christmas bazaar called Cairo Christmas Fair. Taking place next Saturday (23rd of November) from 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM. The Christmas fair is set to bring together various vendors selling Christmas decorations and trees, in addition to a round of products. Entrance is free.
- Winter Bazaars:
New Cairo’s Family Park warms up for the season with a shopping bazaar that celebrates ‘White Friday’, where the vendors offer massive promotions on their products. Stay tuned for Family Park’s special Christmas Bazaar, which will tell you all about it later this month.
This weekend at New Cairo’s Cairo Festival City Mall, Be Unique Bazaar takes place, where all the ladies in town are welcome to shop ‘til they drop from an array of booths selling various products, including fashion accessories, makeup, clothing items, and more.
Wasabi Experience brings yet another Cairo Flea Market to Zamalek, at the Aquarium Grotto Garden on the 22nd of November. The day celebrates Black Friday, in addition to hosting various activities that cater to all age groups.
Last week, we served you a batch of bazaars in Cairo that are celebrating winter and Christmas. This fresh batch is all dedicated solely to Christmas, including a long list of events that are taking place in various areas across the city. No matter where you are in Cairo, you’ll find a Christmas bazaar nearby.
The DEO’s famous annual event returns this year on the 29th of November, gathering various German, Swiss, and Austrian specialities, in addition to a host of gifts and handicrafts. The bazaar also includes a special kids’ corner, a church activity stand, and a booth by the German Embassy in Cairo. Tickets are available at the door.
Dedicated to furniture and home accessories, Katameya Heights City Bazaar – Furniture Concept brings a range of brands in the field of furniture. The bazaar is also set to host a number of vendors that offer fashion, health and beauty, and accessories. Taking place on the 30th of November and the 1st of December, the bazaar opens at 11.00 AM and closes at 9.00 PM.
Starting from Friday the 29th of November, and lasting until the 7th of January, New Giza Wonderland is a massive celebration where shopping meets live entertainment. Open daily from 12.00 to 8.00 PM.
Now here’s a Christmas bazaar that all avid bookworms won’t want to miss. AUC Tahrir Bookstore in Qasr EL Nil promises a spectrum of genres that cater to all, with a host of offers and special prices. The fair takes place on the 30th November and 1st of December, from 10.00 AM to 6.00 PM.
Zamalek’s Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo hosts a special winter book fair on the 3rd of December, from 10.00 AM to 7.00 PM. The book fair gathers various genres – new and used, in numerous languages, so there’s definitely something for everyone.
This Thursday, Arkan Plaza celebrates the festive season with an event that sees various activities taking place from 6.00 to 10.00 PM, including a bazaar, live entertainment, as well as Christmas-tree lighting.
Beverly Hills’ West Square Mall brings a round of vendors this Friday from 11.00 AM to 11.00 PM, who offer a host of products that cover fashion, home accessories, and beauty products.

The bazaar presents various handicrafts, natural beauty products, in addition to a range of fresh produce, offered by Il Mercato Farmers.
El Setat Market is back with a range of products that will set the right mood for Christmas. Join the festivities at Downtown Mall in New Cairo, which is set to take place on the 6th of December.
It’s more than just a Christmas bazaar; it’s a massive celebration that includes various activities, like scouts games, a scouts parade, and a live performance by Saviour Team, and Insjam. The day begins at 2.00 PM and ends at 10.00 PM on the 6th of December.

Beverly Hill’s British International School hosts a Christmas bazaar on the 6th of December, from 11.00 AM to 7.00 PM, gathering a host of activities for all members of the family; from food and shopping to entertainment.
The third edition of Christmas Festival takes place at Heliopolis’ Le Passage Cairo Hotel & Casino on the 6th of December from 10.00 AM to 10.00 PM. The day sees various activities for kids, including a live show, a meet and greet with Santa, in addition to a performance by a religious choir. Maadi’s Courtyard hosts a Christmas-tree lighting event, which also sees a round of activities taking place; from a round of kids’ activities, to a choir singing Christmas carols. From 2.00 to 11.30 PM, the event is happening on the 6th of December.
Downtown’s Maq’aad El Sultan Qaitbey hosts a Christmas bazaar on Saturday the 7th, bringing a selection of products. The day also sees live music, courtesy of Estabena, as well as a folk dance performance by Nora Nemeth and Sandor Babinecz.
Saint Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Ramses Street hosts a special celebration on the 7th of December, which sees a theatrical performance that is based on Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt’s Oscar and the Lady in Pink, in addition to a bazaar, a photo booth, and a choir taking to the stage for a host of Christmas carols.
