The Million Pound Menu is now in Egypt! Grab your aprons because the hit BBC show Million Pound Menu is making its sizzling debut on Egyptian screens. Brought to life by IMPCO, the masterminds behind Shark Tank Egypt, this culinary competition takes food innovation to the next level, giving budding chefs a shot at turning their restaurant dreams into delicious reality. Whether you’re a foodie, a chef in the making, or simply looking for mouthwatering entertainment, this is the show for you!
Serving Ambition
With Egypt’s food and beverage industry booming, the show aims to enable culinary masters to make their journeys easier. Each episode showcases three chefs who pitch their boldest food concepts. But this isn’t just another boardroom pitch. The chefs get 48 hours to transform their ideas into reality by running a fully functional pop-up restaurant at District 5 by Marakez as real customers and an esteemed panel of seasoned investors taste their creations.
The Esteemed Judging Panel
The judging panel is made up of the culinary luminaries behind some of the most recognised food destinations in the capital: The Lemon Tree & Co.’s Mirette Aly, Baky Hospitality’s Ayman Baky, Mo Bistro’s Mohamed Abdelhak, Eatery’s Omar Fathy, Buffalo Burger’s Loay Torky, and TBS co-founder Sameh El Sadat. The judges aren’t just here to taste-test. They’re hunting for the next big thing in food, providing mentorship and financial backing.
Meet the Maestro: Youssef El Ebiary
Adding a sprinkle of charm and a generous dollop of expertise, Youssef El Ebiary is the host behind MPM Egypt. With a culinary journey as rich as the desserts he’s perfected, Youssef brings passion, precision, and a knack for inspiring the next generation of culinary enthusiasts.
Youssef’s adventure in gastronomy began at the EU Business School in Barcelona. However, his true calling flourished at the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, where he earned his diploma in Cuisine and Pastry. He didn’t just learn to cook there—he mastered the craft. His next stop was the historic La Maison Pichard bakery, under the tutelage of the legendary Chef Olivier Boudeau, where he perfected the delicate art of boulangerie in a bakery steeped in over a century of Parisian tradition, making him the ideal addition to MPM that will bring the show together.
Nothing brings people together like food. But add competition, drama, and a sprinkle of celebrity investors? That’s a recipe for binge-worthy TV. From nail-biting moments in the kitchen to the sheer joy of seeing a chef shine, Million Pound Menu promises something for everyone. And while the show is undoubtedly a platform for aspiring restaurateurs, it’s also a celebration of Egypt’s evolving culinary scene.
