This week brings with it a collection of amazing cinema flicks. No matter what you’re in the mood for, you can find it in this week’s newest releases, from action flicks and horror movies to animated kid’s films and beyond.

The Power

Directed by Corinna Faith, The Power is a horror film that follows the sinister events that occur when a trainee nurse (Rose Williams) is sent to work a night shift at a run-down hospital in Britain. Things take a turn for the worse when power is cut across Britain, forcing the nurse to deal with the malevolent forces that lurk behind the hospital’s walls.

The Forever Purge

Part 5 of The Purge series, written by James Demonaco, The Forever Purge follows Mexican couple Adela (Ana de la Reguera) and Juan (Tenoch Huerta), who are attempting to escape from a drug cartel. When they finally manage to outrun the cartel, the couple are forced to face a group of thugs who plan to keep the outlawed tradition of The Purge alive.

The Ice Road

Liam Neeson plays an ice driver in this new action flick. Directed by Jonathan Hensleigh, The Ice Road follows an ice driver as he leads a rescue mission to save miners who became trapped after a diamond mine collapse in the icy depths of northern Canada. With unexpected challenges, who knows if they’ll make it out alive.

Flashback

An encounter with a close friend triggers a series of flashbacks for Fredrick Fitzell (Dylan O’Brien) in this thrilling drama directed by Christopher MacBride. As his visions get clearer, Fred realises that he is witnessing the disappearance of a girl who went missing while he was in high school. After reaching out to his close friend (Emory Cohen), he realises that his visions are caused by a mysterious drug he used to take and becomes set on finding the missing girl.

Werewolves Within

Based on a video game, this horror/comedy tells the story of the town of Beaverfield. After being trapped inside the local inn by a snowstorm, forest ranger Finn (Sam Richardson) and postal worker Cecily (Milana Vayntrub) attempt to keep things in order as they find out the truth about the mysterious creature that is terrorising their town.

The Boss Baby: Family Business

Sequel to The Boss Baby, this animated film follows Theodore (Alec Baldwin) and Tim (Jimmy Kimmel) Templeton after they’ve got older. Intent on saving toddlers from an evil genius, the two brothers take a formula that turns them into babies for 48 hours so that they can go undercover and save the day.
