Spoiler alert! This week’s movie releases include so many of your favourite internet celebrities who have managed to land roles alongside award-winning actors. Here’s a sneak peek at this week’s mix of movie genres that will be available in theatres:

Queen of Spades

We say you should sneak your safety blanket into the theatre because you’ll definitely need to hide under it for this one! Another version of the plot that never fails to scare the living daylight out of us, Queen of Spades, is a horror film about an evil entity that gets awakened after being summoned. And who’s better at accidentally summoning demons than careless teenagers?  The lives of four teens become in real danger after the Queen of Spades is released and comes after them to hunt them down.

Vanquish

After stunning her audiences (of all genders) in Orange is The New Black, Ruby Rose is back in a badass leading role with a sultry new shaved head look. When the ex-drug courier (Rose) finds out that Damon (Morgan Freeman) is holding her daughter hostage, she has to go collect his money for him from various enemies all in one night. Also, the Vine queen, Hannah Stocking, plays a part in the movie. We guess that’s enough spoilers because we really want you to go see the unexpected turn of events that will make your jaws drop at the end of the movie.

Dune

Based on the 1965 epic novel by Frank Herbert, the movie is an adaptation that will take you on a journey to a futuristic faraway land where noble Timothee Chalamet is a ducal heir. Now that’s a universe we want to live in! The movie has several favourite stars, including Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and our favourite eye candy, Jason Momoa. The feud between the houses that rule the cosmos is over the valuable substance known as mélange, which extends human life, makes faster-than-light travel possible, and allows exceptional levels of thought.

Arousty

Finally some Egyptian rom-com to light up everyone’s mood! Featuring Jamila Awad, Ahmed Hatem, and Sabrin, the movie discusses the serious matter of traditional marriage and delivers it to the audience in a humorous manner. It tells the story of a couple (Ahmed Hatem) and (Jamila Awad) searching for their perfect partner. They question whether it is better to marry based on love, or trust in grandma’s good old belief that love comes after marriage? We know you’ll laugh your lungs out watching this movie because it features none other than Mohamed Moula and Marwan Younis, the internet celebrities who finally made it to the big screen.
