If you haven’t heard, Russell Peters is coming to Cairo on the 17th and 18th of December as part of his worldwide “Act your Age” tour. The piece tackles cancel culture, ageing, and the current state of the world. Like always, Peters’ go-to in comedy is highlighting ethnic, racial, and cultural stereotypes, referring to his personal experience as a man of Indian descent growing up in an Anglo-Indian family in Canada. So don’t let him know our “Saedi” jokes, or he’ll never let it go!

The Canadian star is known for his hilarious takes and unusual observations on the world. Not only does he make us laugh, but he gives us a new lens through which to see the world. Peters isn’t afraid to unapologetically see the world for what it is but doesn’t miss the humour in it. It’s this that earned him the first-ever stand-up special on Netflix, along with winning the Gemini Award and getting nominated four other times. Peters’ career is peppered with numerous other acclaimed awards.

 

Certainly, Peters will be the biggest name in stand-up comedy to perform in Egypt up to date, marking it as another historical event for us. Joined by rising star Malik Sanon and DJ Starting From Scratch, and organised by R Productions and Al-Hezb El-Comedy, Peters will be performing in Z Park in Sheikh Zayed.
