Today, we don’t feel like writing the same old intro; instead, we’re diving headfirst into what the city has to offer during the weekend. Here’s the deal:

Elsewhere, it’s a rock night at Tahrir Cultural Center, where local troupe Fabrica will entertain the crows with some classics of the genre.

The day also sees a couple of events that cater to all age groups; El Sawy Culturewheel hosts another edition of its Chocofest, Cairo Festival City Mall hosts a fashion bazaar called Be Unique, while Maadi’s Community Services Association hosts an early Christmas Bazaar.

DJ Doggy Dogg spins some R&B and hip-hop tunes on the decks at The Tap Maadi, DJ Anis plays some pop at The Tap East, while Amro & The Big Bang Boogie plays various jazz and blues tunes on stage at The Tap West, before DJ Armen V takes over on the decks for a round of pop hits.

Friday brings more pre-Christmas bazaars to the city; Black Friday Bazaar at the Aquarium Grotto Garden in Zamalek, and White Friday at New Cairo’s Family Park. Elsewhere, Egyptian poet Hesham El Gakh takes to the stage at El Sawy Culturewheel to recite some of his works, Sherry Mamdouh covers some Amy Winehouse classics at ROOM Art Space Garden City, while Tamer Hosny, Silentó, and Marwan Pablo perform at AUC New Cairo on a night called Paradox.

The night sees DJ Feedo spinning some R&B and hip-hop tunes on the decks at The Tap West, DJ Ayman Nageeb playing some house tunes at The Tap East, and DJs Teddy, and AWE taking to the decks at The Tap Maadi. More house music to come, with DJ Moenes, and Ahmed Eid spinning the tunes at Cairo Jazz Club.

When Saturday comes, Maadi’s The Field Community Club hosts a special Christmas fair, DECA ADEF screens Dunkirk, while ROOM Art Space hosts a folk music night, courtesy of Egybadour, who play a host of folk tunes from various parts of the globe
