It’s the season when every venue in the city flaunts its Christmas decorations game; while some venues play it safe with run-of-the-mill festivity items, other takes celebrations up another notch by brandishing unique concepts.

New Cairo’s recently open commercial strip, White by The Waterway, raises the bar with an innovative theme for the Holidays, which brings joy, as well as serves a cause. Supporting local artists, White by The Waterway collaborates with a couple of Egyptian artists to create a breathtaking Christmas setting that comes with a modern twist.

Built to blend harmoniously with the commercial strip’s architectural style while maintaining the good old Christmas vibes; the four gigantic sculptures, which were created with the help of five assistants, took the artists almost a month of endless hard work to be finished.

With over 20 years of experience under their belts, the artists used 43 polystyrene blocks to create the collection that demanded outstanding technical skills and knowledge to carve, shape, assemble, and restore.

The collection includes an extensive snowman display that weighs around 720 kilograms, a massive Santa, and an elf – each weighs 280 kilograms – as well as a 380-kilogram deer. And guess what? These numbers do not include the weight of the steel structure.
