This week in Cairo cinemas, the highly anticipated Marvel Studios film, Black Panther, finally arrives! The Oscar and Golden Globe nominated film, Molly’s Game is also here. Lastly, just in time for Valentine’s Day, the final chapter of the 50 Shades Trilogy, 50 Shades of Freed, hits theaters.

Black Panther

What’s it about?: Black Panther is the newest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film tells the story of the return of the young prince, T’Challa, to the nation of Wakanda, to take his rightful place as king.

The Good:  This is the first time that a comic book film features an entirely African-American cast and crew. Not to mention, that Black Panther already made an unforgettable debut in Captain America: Civil War, so expectations are soaring high.

The Bad: Lots of hype and high expectations could lead to disappointment.

Fifty Shades of Freed

What’s it about?: The final chapter of the trilogy, brings with it the culmination of Anastasia and Christian Grey’s passionate relationship. The newly-weds are trying to adapt to their new life, while attempting to overcome threats to their relationship.

The Good: Fans of the trilogy, will get to see it realized as a cohesive tripartite whole.

The Bad: The first two films are considered laughable at best, and disastrous at worst.

Molly’s Game

What’s it about?: Jessica Chastain gives yet another award-worthy performance as the real life Molly Bloom: a woman who ran the most exclusive and high-stakes poker game.

The Good: Molly’s game has already garnered itself an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay and Chastain earned herself a nomination for her acting, i.e. expect a great feature.

The Bad: The rather long run time of the film ( 2 Hours and 30 minutes), could prove tedious for some.
