Egypt has recently been making international headlines due to the high performance of its athletes in international competitions. Indeed, the public eye has justifiably shifted towards supporting these athletes. It seems, therefore, that the days when Egyptians only used to cheer for those who excel at a single sport, namely football, have slowly yet surely been fading away and becoming a thing of the past.

Taking into consideration how Egypt’s sports scene has expanded and started to garner the attention it deserves, Inertia has decided to invest in some astoundingly talented Egyptian youths, who have a promising future ahead of them in the field of sports. For those of you who don’t know who Inertia is, well they are a leading real estate company that provides high quality and modern homes in different parts of Egypt.

Departing from their work in real estate, Inertia announced on March 4th, that it has been implementing a comprehensive support model which has been helping three rising athletes for over a year now: Ramadan Darwish, Hassan Hassan, and Layla Shoukry. The ultimate goal is to get these three athletes in top condition and help them qualify for entry into the Olympics in Tokyo 2020, the Junior Olympics 2022, and more international competitions.

Ramadan Darwish broke an international record by becoming the Judo Champion of the Mediterranean Games three times. He is also a six-time African Champion and was ranked 7th in the Rio De Janeiro Olympics in 2016. As for Hassan Hassan, his last achievement in Greco-Roman Wrestling was a silver medal in Slovakia in September for the World’s Youth Championship, in addition to winning the gold medal in the African Championship. Last, but most definitely not least, Layla Shoukry is the youngest, at only 12 years of age. She is ranked first in Egypt and Africa in her age group, in tennis. She also gave spectacular performances in many local and international tennis tournaments recently. Layla is working hard to participate in the junior Olympics 2022 and Roland Garros 2021.

Inertia’s new athletic support program aims to provide a nurturing space for these athletes. The program will provide access to professional coaching and other countless benefits, throughout all stages. It accompanies the competitors on a path of restless determination and hard work.

Inertia’s Co-founder and CEO, Ahmed El Adawy stated that “Time has come for these hard-working athletes to receive the support and attention they deserve from Inertia in order to enable them for a brighter future”.

Furthermore, he explained the importance of providing a model that will empower athletes and support them with day to day training, by giving them access to professional coaches, top-notch equipment, as well as life coaches who will help them overcome the mental grind that comes with a challenging lifestyle.

El Adawy also explained that he knows how it feels to stand alone against discouraging pessimists and non-believers while working silently with minimal resources in order to eventually achieve greatness. He believes that it’s time for these talented young athletes to receive the support and attention they deserve; accordingly, Inertia is there to provide those things. Finally, Inertia’s founders believe in their partnership they’ve formed with the athletes to the extent where El Adawy recorded himself the voice over for the new advertisement in a show of support and encouragement.
