Without a doubt, Mohamed Salah wins the hearts of his fans across the globe every day with his stellar performance on the field. On Saturday, he picked up yet another win, after English team Liverpool beat Brazil’s Flamengo during the final of FIFA Club World Cup, which took place in Qatar, at the Khalifa International Stadium.

For his remarkable performance in the competition, Salah was given the Adidas Golden Ball and Alibaba Cloud Player of the Tournament award. FIFAstated that Salah is not only good at scoring goals, but he also makes for an extraordinary team player, as he assists his teammates to reach the net.

The Egyptian Liverpool forward had provided a fantastic assist to Naby Keita, which helped Liverpool gain 2-1 victory against Mexico’s Monterrey, according to FOX Sports. In the final match, Roberto Firmino was the one to score the winning goal during extra time, and he had also scored during Liverpool’s match with Monterrey. According to CNN, this win marks the team’s third silverware of 2019, as they had won crowns in the Champions League and European Super Cup.

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah had a legendary 44-goal debut season, followed by 27 strikes in his second campaign. He won the Premier League Golden Boot in 2017-2018 with 32 goals, which set the record for the highest number of goals by one player in a single 38-game campaign, according to Liverpool FC. The following season, he retained the honour with teammate Sadio Mané, along with Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Salah was named Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA)’s Player of the Year in 2017-2018. He was also the first Arab and Egyptian to win Football Writers Association (FWA)’s Footballer of the Year in 2018, and the first Egyptian to win the Champions League in 2019 with Liverpool, among a long list of accomplishments. Today, he reigns as one of the most famous Egyptian footballers of all time.
