Under the initiative of “health of pregnant women”, a new campaign is set to launch next January, offering prenatal care for women, according to Egyptian Streets. This campaign will be aiming to detect and prevent potential diseases in pregnant women, which will reflect, in return, on the health condition of their newborns.

UNICEF stated that the under-5 mortality rate in Egypt has declined drastically during the past two decades, with over half the deaths had occurred during the first month of the child’s life. Rural areas are mainly at a disadvantage, as the mortality rate has been higher there than urban areas.
With such positive initiatives, awareness can be raised among many women in various areas across the nation, which ensures a better quality life for Egypt’s future men and women.
