Yoga didn’t originally come from Egypt, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a significant part of many Egyptians’ lives and routines. For that reason, Osana Family Wellness celebrates yogis every year in Egypt by creating the Egypt Day of Yoga (EDoY) to offer a free pass to numerous and various yoga classes for every yoga enthusiast to join in and enjoy the day, whether they’re a beginner or an experienced practitioner. This year, it will be hosted by Osana and many other studios all over Egypt on the 9th of May.

What is the Egypt Day of Yoga?

Osana has hosted the Egypt Day of Yoga for years, their annual event celebrating yoga practice in Egypt. It offers everyone a plethora of free pass classes all day. These classes are for everyone and are held at the Osana Family Wellness in Maadi and many other yoga studios collaborating with Osana to celebrate the EDoY.

On the day of EDoY, anyone gets to attend any class of their choosing free of charge and without the need to pre-register, as the rule of EDoY is first come, first served. All an attendee needs to do is show up on time for the class at Osana or at any of the collaborating yoga studios. In 2025, the EDoY is Friday, the 9th of May.

What to Expect at Osana?

Osana will be hosting EDoY in its home in Maadi. Their EDoY will feature a beautiful lineup of guided yoga classes from 9 AM to 7 PM. This lineup includes classes like 108 Sun Salutations, Yin/Yang, Free Flow, Air, Yogalates, and so many more. This variety presents convenience for anyone looking for something specific, whether physical strength, calming the mind, or connecting to something deeper.

As usual, Osana is the primary host of EDoY, but it’s not the sole one. KMT House will be hosting a lineup of yoga classes on EDoY, powered by Osana Family Wellness. The free classes at KMT on the 9th of May will include Hatha Yoga, Yin/Yang, Yoga Nidra, and Free Movement Through Body Telling. The schedule and details can be found at this link.

Where Else to Go for EDoY?

EDoY will not just be at Osana or KMT. EDoY will extend to studios all over Cairo and some in Alexandria and Dahab to welcome and include all yoga enthusiasts across Egypt. The Cairo yoga studios that will be collaborating in EDoY in 2025 include Within Studio in 6^th of October, Ananda Community and  Yalla Yoga in Heliopolis, The Mala, Wellnest Space, Yoxy Studio, Flexana in New Cairo, and Earth Space in Rehab. EDoY in Alexandria will be hosted at Ace Wellness Center and Tata Wise Monkeys, and in Dahab at La Medusa, The Lotus Rises, and Zen Garden.
