One of Cairo’s many charms happens to be its ability to cater to your every whim, especially when it comes to food; you name it, you have it. A few years ago, that wasn’t the case with healthy choices.

Dedicated health and fitness gurus had to dine at home before heading to an outing, while poor wannabes like us gave it up, and considered that every outing comes with a cheat meal.

Luckily, some brave restaurateurs ventured to light up a torch and lead the way by offering all the health-conscious Cairenes somewhere to turn to for a guilt-free meal.

Brave as they are, not many of them have managed to offer mouthwatering healthy culinary choices- i.e. the impossible, which is what the winners of this category have achieved.

Be Good To You:

Founded by fitness guru and BeFit founder, Ali Mazhar, New Cairo’s Be Good To You offers a colourful spectrum of healthy delights for every meal of the day. Not just that, in addition to the place’s range of desserts, Be Good To You also has a variety of dairy and gluten-free options and a special kids menu.

Besides a prodigious range of healthy yet delicious smoothies, energy drinks and fresh juices, Lychee also offers a variety of wraps, salads, yoghurts and oatmeal options. Obviously, there’s nothing that Lychee won’t do to keep your healthy belly satisfied.

Sea Salt Bakery:

From the cosy setting, to the long trail of healthy choices that caters to all tastes; Zamalek’s Sea Salt Bakery knows what it takes to keep us coming back. We believe that every vegan in town must try out Sea Salt Bakery’s spinach ravioli, with its oh-so-creamy vegan white sauce.

Lyfe, in Maadi, offers a huge range of healthy options; from Greek yoghurts, salads, wraps and pancakes, to warm bowls, smoothies, and treats. Our personal favourite are their ever-so-delicious blueberry oats pancakes.
