When one finds himself valued in the market, he/she must ensure that he/she is appreciated, whether it be expressed in praise from superiors, a raise in salary, promotion, etc. Liverpool FC must be quite aware of this common phenomenon, as it’s about to potentially make the Egyptian King one of the richest players in the English Premier League.
According to The Sun, rumors have been circulating that Spanish team, Real Madrid, nicknamed the Meringues, are trying to recruit Mohamed Salah to join their forces. In response, Liverpool FC, also referred to as the Reds, is now fighting back with an offer of approximately 480,000 euros a week, which would rival the salary of Manchester United winger, Alexis Sanchez, potentially making Salah the best-paid player in the English Premier League. Even though Salah’s contract with the Reds ends in 2023, Liverpool is attempting to extend his duration by at least 1 year with a more tempting package.
Since joining the English premier league in 2017, sources state that the 27-year old, amongst other things, has hit 54 goals in 74 English Premier League appearances, won both the PFA and Football Writers’ player of the year awards in his debut season with Liverpool in 2018, and not to mention the UEFA Champions League and his recent Golden Boot.
