As the last month of summer commences, Cairo’s artists have released new music to ensure we make the most of the final month of holidays. With a new EP release by the rising artist Gamiano and a single launch by the seasonal favourite Bayou, our summer playlists are never short of making us jam at Sahel’s many beaches and clubs. Check out the hottest new summer releases below!

 

3asal Eswed — Gamiano

While this American-Egyptian artist grew up abroad, you’d never know it with his creative reference to local banter and seamless Arabic flow. The local rising rapper has released a five-song EP produced by M-Town Mafia’s Rally that pays homage to his dual nationality and gives us five great reasons to dance all night!

 

Zaza Elwaseem — Ziad Zaza

Ziad Zaza has undoubtedly been a highlight of our past year, delivering and enthralling us with hits like ‘Basha’ and ‘Dayra’. Keeping up the excitement, the artist has released a brand-new album to round off the summer. We assure you that its tracklist will stay at the top of your playlists!

 

3am El Nas — Begad

Begad Osama has just premiered his latest album, 3am El Nas. Featuring artists Abo El Anwar and Motherfunkers, the songs will keep you on your feet and moving. After listening to the new album on repeat, we can testify that the artist is indeed the people’s uncle!

 

Call Her Right Now — Bayou

Bayou is so talented at getting us deep in our feelings that he could be considered the Middle East’s very own Drake. Following his previous RnB tracks, the Egyptian artist based abroad has released yet another song, this time featuring Hady Moamer and Motif Alumni, to make us miss our situation-ships this summer.

 

Kalam Aflam — Riff & El Waili

Alongside Riff, techno producer El Waili has dropped a hot new single to get you pumped for the last of the summer. Despite the absence of lyrics, Kalam Aflam is still the perfect Sahel anthem with its killer beat and stellar production.

 

Hues — Zain Faiez

Zain Faiez’s new album Hues is racking up views on YouTube, and rightfully so. Released only one week ago, the album features tracks with lyrics sure to stick in your head. Our favourite is ‘Freak on,’ the ideal summer track to get your party freak on to by the beach!

 

Ba3d 12 — E Evil

It seems the last of the summer has been the highlight of outstanding EPs, and E Evil’s latest release ‘Ba3d 12’ is no exception. The four-track mini-album is filled with great tunes to blast in your car, but we recommend you listen to ‘Yama 2alo,’ featuring Rayzmusic.
